[Postmodernism and materialism]
cf Pinker's analysis of language as quite 'messy' and complex. There are no simple rules or overarching ideas - or at least these are a long way off. Also see Dawkins' biological interpretations. Do these reflect the reality or merely the analyst's own viewpoint/character? The Tovian form of analysis could be described as similarly complex and without simple goals - a reflection of the complexity of the material or a simplistic, idiosyncratic and unstructured perception.
